What are the standard colors you guys use for run groups?
I often see you guys talking about moving up to a particular color run group after being signed off from a lower run group. We have had several different run group colors in our past events and I would like to adopt a more standard set of colors for our run groups as well. It seems that there is some sort of standard. Could you guys elaborate on what you do?
Also, our registration has opened for the Kentucky Region PCA DE at Putnam Park on June 22-24, 2007. We will be offering PCA Instructor Certification this year as well.
All information and online registration can be found on the website.

Thanks.

One of my groups is Pink (noobs), Yellow (instructed or solo), Green (solo), White (instructor).
Another uses a totally different scheme where I was placed in white as an intermediate solo. Confusing when you run back to back weekends!
Given what I've seen it doesn't seem like there IS a standard.

In CA, GGR uses:
Yellow - novice/slowest (May be instructed or solo)
White (may be instructed or solo)
Green
Blue
Red - instructor/fastest
It seems that only PCA uses colors. All other organizations in Nor Cal use novice / intermediate / advanced or some variation and often with 2 levels of intermediate. The other thing I've noted is no PCA group out here allows passing in turns or open passing (no point required) but most the non-PCA organizations allow one or both in the advanced run groups.

North East is similar to New Jersey.

Blue (Signed off Yellow)

When I lived in Ohio and Western PA, we used A,B,C and D, with D being beginners.

It sure would be nice if PCA had a "standard" that the regions should follow. Until then it is comparing apples to oranges when just talking color.
Good thing out here all the regions I have run with have the same lineup:
Red (Instructors)
Black (Advanced Solor and Instructor spillover)
White (Crazy *** new solo drovers)
Blue (Instructed AND solo within the group)
Green (Beginner Instructed)

Peachstate PCA uses numbers 1-5. 1 being beginner, 2 intermediate instructed, 3 Solo w/check rides, 4 advanced solo, 5 advanced and instructors.
Other PCA regions in the south use, Green (1), Blue (2) White (3) Black (4) and Red (5).
Take your pick. I think the number system works best as we all understand an ascending and decending scale. To me the colors are confusing.
