I did find that intersting as well and have found myself doing that on/off throttle thing in places I am normally flatout, but where my rear tires have gone away and I am scrambling for any grip I can. I got WOT and then need to back off to keep it on the road then go back WOT when it hooks up. Maybe this is the same thing?
I assume just the opposite. I think he is dealing with understeer. I do that in my car sometimes.

I agree. He is using microbursts of throttle to help rotate the car when it is understeering badly.

To make this more interesting, I nominate GR to represent me in the race. He probably drives better than I do and there is a good chance that it will be more interesting. I mean, after all, demolition derbys are cool as hell.

Ok. By an amazing stroke of luck my race Engineer her in the UK was working with Honda Motorsport in the 90's and with Senna setting up the NSX. Can somebody give me the links to the footage please? I'll ask Joerg when I get a minute..

Amazing coincidence..

In the mean time, For what it's worth. Here is in car footage posted before of how I do it.

Steve, very nice and smooth. Makes me feel like I am back in my GT3. Of course, when I posted videos like that it was mentioned that I wasn't correcting with the wheel enough, so I could have been going faster.
