Interesting thread...
I try to keep my hands firmly planted at 3 & 9 and rotate the wheel up to 180 degrees or perhaps a little more if necessary. If it goes beyond that, and TD's video of that autocross course at Summit is perhaps the extreme example, I do shuffle.
I just reviewed 2 videos of perhaps the best driver on Rennlist, Leh Keen, one at VIR and the other he recently posted at Atlanta. I always considered him to be fairly agressive with his wheel movements (perhaps it's because he's going about twice as fast as me ) but in both video's he never once took his hands off the 3 & 9 position (except to shift) even when he had to really countersteer to save it in a corner.
If I can eventually become 75% as good as him I'll be happy.

Easy way, put the palm of you fav hand flat against the wheel where ever you like and turn the wheel by moving you arm letting the wheel "pivot" under you plam. This way you can slurp coffee while pulling the truck out of the drive in the a.m.. I do it every day and it works great!
At the track? preset pre planed placement all the way

No, it's the new Goodyear Flaming Yellow (GFY) sidewall conepacking tire...The only fitment available is for GT3's that are crashed into parked vehicles off course.
