Default Only three Porsches entered at Le Mans

I scanned the entry list for Le Mans this year and found only three entered for the race. This seemed odd at first but after studying the rules and regulations put forth by the ACO, I found Porsches at a disadvantage, as we've seen at ALMS this season.
Any comments?

Default standard stuff

It may be heresy, but if thay can't win they don't play. They are making enough money to buy VW, on the backs their customers. That is all that matters. Charles 4/21 or 4/27-28?

That can't be? There are many teams running 997 RSR's...maybe they have not entered yet...?

and what DID you find.......

ALMS and ACO diverge in certain critical areas. ALMS is more prone to fiddling the regulations to encourage variety, ACO fiddles to encourage French entrants.

in all probability 4 or 5 Porsches will be in the GT2 class, there are several on the reserve list and one has already been promoted.

There are four 997 GT3 RSRs on the entry list for Le Mans this year and five F430 GTCs. 5 more cars are on the entry list this year bringing the total to 55 car.

There won't be any RS Spyders at Le Mans this year.

Petersen Motorsports / White Lightning has withdrawn their GT2 entry, but GPC Sport SRL will take their place with an F430 GTC.

*Four* 997s vs. five 430s. That's representative of the balance of power that swung toward Ferrari last year. No real surprise.

How are the Porsches at a disadvantage vis a vis the ACOs rules?

Why are there no Spyders not entered?

The Ferraris will break down.
This is no longer a certainty. They are as likely to win as Porsche this year.

Well, you really need three. 1st. 2nd and 3rd.

the ferrari factory is now backing private teams in gt2. risi competizione is one of them. that's how risi was able to get mika salo to drive for them. ferrari is unfortunately no longer fruitcake in gt racing and could very well take the checkered flag at lesarthe. pisses me off.

Why would it **** you off? What good is a victory if it's not hard earned over some worthy competitors?
