Andy: You are correct, it doesn't class well in PCA. But, you might be surprised how soft GT1 is in a lot of regions. Most of the folks that have that kind of money to spend on a race car have gone to Cup cars. According to the posted results, at Sebring this year there were 3 GT1-S and 3 GT1-R in the Sprint and none in the Enduro. Sure a well-prepared, well-driven GT1 will mop the floor with it, but in the 5 years I have been running a 944 in GT1, I have found those to be few and far between.
I wanted the car when Gatlin had it and would love to be in a position to buy it. It's a great deal on a very nice car.

Tim,
Good luck with the auction. It sure is a nice car! I wish it would come back down this direction. Glen went to a lot of trouble building that car right & you have done nothing but improve it

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! It really is a special car. Like Glen told me " You have to sell it in order to try something new". Hope it goes to someone that will appreciate the work it took to produce the package.

West is right that GT1 tend to have very few cars. So you could podium in the car as is. That being said, it would be "off the pace". Still, I'm not sure I'd care much as the car is probably a hoot to drive.

Glad to see some discussion about this car as I have noticed the ad off and on over the past year.
These are the tough ones. Bottom line is.....the car is a steal for the mods and the price. Problem for most is......what do you do with it?
Good luck...somone is going to get a fantastic bargain.
No affiliation..blah blah blah.
