My guess is that the insurance company will wrangle with the owner for a while before they pay anything, if they ever pay. I don't know what the exclusions to a policy are in that state (assuming it was a street automotive policy) but I can just hear them saying that they aren't going to pay because it was on a race track, it was being used for business (publicity) , etc. I doubt they'll want to pony up 1.5 million without a fight.

My opinion,

This is what they deserve for intentionally destroying a Carrera GT.

You can wrap those things around a telephone pole, not wear a helmet, and walk away. Who needs helmets?

It doesn't matter, I'm sure all of those cars were actually leased/owned by the movie or the production company and not him. This movie has been known all along to have the intent of writing off a supercar or two... I'm sure he financially structured the deal so that if his 'personal' cars were written off that it would not come out of his pocket.

Besides, if that wasn't the case, who the hell would let undercover brotha drive a freaking Enzo on that goofy *** track. I feel more sorry for the car than the producer or the brotha... they knew what they were getting into, and if not, then they deserved it.

Hell, I wouldn't even get into the driver seat of someone else's Enzo at a track like that... or likely any track. I'm just not man enough for that car, or rich enough to pay for it. Brotha should stick to driving his ghetto racers....

No, but can we morph this into a "was it related to a bad passing signal?".
