Default Solo 1 Racing Boxster S

Hi Guys,

I have registered my boxster S for Solo 1 racing this year. The local club here needs proof that people are racing these cars with no additional roll over protection needed. From what I was told, PCA does not require any additional protection for boxsters. Can anybody supply a link or any proof that this is true. Thanks!

I suggest you add the BK extension as minimum additional protection. Cage is strongly recommended. I would be surprise if your helmeted head in under the stock roll protection devices. Mine was not and I'm 5'8". I put the BK in just for DEs. I have seen the bars as low as $600.00.
If you can afford to go racing, you can afford to race safely.

Good luck,

Thanks guys. I will look into buying a BK roll bar extension. Do you know if this will meet the specs for roll bar protection identified in the pca rules? i.e tubing thickness and bracing. Do people participate in pca events with this bar? Thanks for your help

Default Boxsters

I have run a stock Boxster S since 2001 at almost every DE at Sebring. Suncoast Region does not require additional roll bar extensions. Solo I is autocross, isn't it? I can't believe you are having any issue.

Solo I is spaced cars on a track where you are racing against the clock, SCCA's version of Time Trials.
