Default Speed TV's Announcers are incompetent....

They make Brent Musberger sound professional.... Constant dribble, they spend more time covering pit stops than what's actually happening out there on course. Two incidents just happened on course and they switched over after the fact, commented on the fact they didn't know what happened, then went to a commercial break. Complete babbling idiots who should be made to listen to their incoherant ramblings in a dark room....

Speed & the announcers have zero ontrol over the content we see. They are simply relaying the generic feed from the race. It's not like Speed has their own camera & production crew at the race. For them to not know what is going on is very normal since they only see what we see, nothing more.

Watching the Sebring 12 and I'm pretty pissed they gave away the pole sitter for F1!

It's at the 1:04 - 1:05 mark if you want to skip it.

I'm listening to Flying Lizards' radio transmission; available on their website.
Visited them just before they left for Sebring while on vacation from the frozen hell of Rochester, NY.
Great bunch of people, were kind enough to show me around the shop/transporters.

Nothing is worse than CBS F1 coverage......not even getting a root canal without novacaine from an epileptic dentist who just found out you've been sleeping with his wife and his daughter.

+1 I want to meet Johannes, seems like a super nice guy and his team reflects it. I'm rooting for the Rizi Copmpetitione (fellow Finn Mika Salo is there) and Lizard boys!

All I can say is thank god Speed is around. It did take a big hit when it got Nascar'd, and all the pinks, biker builds and pimp my ride programs suck, and took away room from a lot of good racing. These guys aren't David Hobbs but I'd listen to those guys over the dribble that gets spewed out of a nascar broadcast any day of the week. And all those guys have to do is point the camera at the front of the race.

I've been to a number of F1, Grand Am & ALMS where you can tune your race radio to the speed feeds, It's pretty amazing that they can keep track of the goings on, you have a great deal of appreciation for how tough it is to do. At indy it was the only way to really know what was going on on the rest of the track, and we had pretty good seats.

I've got Sebring on the plasma, direct feed on the laptop, and am working on the racecar...Ahh, a good day...

Pull up ALMS radio from the IMSA website. Constant coverage because no commercails. I've pulled up Speed Onboard Pass with the ALMS radio feed and IMSA live timing and scoring. I find that this way I have a better feel for what is going on. I can follow several different cars and classes with onboard and the matching commentary.

the on board pass is great

that could have been a bad crash in pit lane when Helio Castroneves just pulled out a minute or two ago and the JMB F430 was going down pit lane

IMSA's live timing and scoring somehow got reset, but as of about hr 4.5 the #7 RS Spyder had the fastest race lap at 1:46.6xx. A whole .3xx sec ahead of the 2nd fastest lap of the AUDI.

Now for the restart of the caution we've got the 2nd place Flying Lizard RSR right behind the leading Risi 430.

Thanks for the IMSA radio link... I don't have speed channel and the video feeds on their site are sketchy at best.

The video feeds don't have the best resolution, but they seem to work pretty well for me. They do have the occasional cut out but only seem to last about 15 mins and at least they go to the cameras at the corners.
