F1 on TV tonight
For those of you who are avid F1 fans and have been counting the days like me
The 2007 F1 season starts tonight at 8PM Pacific on Speed with the Australian Grand prix practice session broadcasted live.
Let s see if Kimi is worth a $1,000,000 a week!

My DVR is still F@#$ed from the time change. Hopefully I can still set it manually. Thanks for the heads up. I will probably be sitting there watching it anyway but it is always nice to record.

going to be a busy weekend with Sebring and F1- CAN'T WAIT!!!! F1 is really going to be interesting with all the changes- it may take a while for the kimster to catch up with Massa as he already has a year under his belt there...
Would love it if Williams could get back some of its former glory... I actually have to root for Rosberg, though I also like Jensen... decisions decisions...

Just finished watching this session. Looks like BMW will be quick this year.
Also did anyone notice how smooth the upshifts and downshifts were on some of the cars?
While watching onboard footage, the drivers heads barely moved under shifting. It really seems much smoother than previous years!
Are they using seamless shifting gearboxes this year??

Most of the "old" (ie: last season) "auto"/sequential boxes already had shift times down around .01 second. What is "seamless" shifting and how does it differ from a really, really fast "auto"/sequential?
Thanks and, as ever, regards to all.

Gearchange overlapping -- in other words, two gear are engaged at the same time, but one shaft is decoupled until the shift, then they switch.
Anyone else not care for the new, zoomed-in onboard camera view? I dont care for it. Looks like a video game to me.
But, its nice to have something on Speed with pushrods outside of the engine
