Well...get a GT3 and give Galen a run for his money...I think he qualified the highest of the POC contingent

Actually Bob Faieta who along with Steve Goldman is a regular POC runner. Bob qualified 2nd just 6/100ths off the pole.

Other POC runners:
Galen Bieker was 9th, Melanie Snow 17th, Steve Goldman 19th, Bob Rodriguez 22nd.

I wish a new 997 GT cup was in my budget but it is not. I did get in 19 World Challenge races and 3 top ten finishes with my 928 before they pulled the plug on me. It was a great experience.

You're right...my apologies to Bob!

Is Melanie going to run the full season? I remember competing against her and Martin a few years ago...she was fast

No the rules have always stated that the car has to be less than 5 years old. The first season I ran with World Challenge they told me they would make an exception but that I could not come back the next season as my 928 was too old. In the beginning they needed cars so they let me back in. After that I continued to beg and plead every year to be allowed back in which they did after getting the OK from Alwin Springer. During my last race in the 928 I was leading the factory Cadillac driver at Laguna and I was black flagged with 2 laps to go for a missing hood pin. My guess is that someone at Cadillac had a word with the officials about an illegal car taking there points away.
