I got mine from our "wrenches" at the airline. It is real "speed tape" and will hold at 330 Kts on the leading edge of the wing. It sticks a lot and lasts forever. Where they get it I don't know!!!
I heard from another pilot that had some of the same tape, that he had a muffler problem (rust) on an old Ford. He taped up the muffler and everything was fine for months. When he finally got around to changing the muffler, it had rusted away, and all that was left was the Speed tape holding the muffler's original form.

As Jim GT-3s #40 says, Lowes or Home Depot carries the tape in the HVAC dept. Get the thin shiny tape, not silver duct tape.
