Question Brake Scoop/Duct Help Needed

I recently dropped an aluminum front brake duct (scoop type that attaches to control arm) off of my 93 RSA and am trying to locate a replacement (knocked off and run over at the track). Although I have checked with a number of suppliers (AJUSA, Performance Products), my scoop/duct has a two inch diameter barrel (portion of scoop/duct which attaches to flexible hose which runs to rotor) and the scoops/ducts that these suppliers have two and a half inch diameter.

Please let me know of any suppliers of brake ducts so I can contact them or if you have an extra duct. Thanks in advance, Adam.

Cool

You might try OG Racing for a kit. I know it won't be factory and I don't know off hand if they make a kit for the RSA but it's worth a try.

Good luck. I believe both OG Racing and Weltmeister stopped making their kits. However, if you find one that is 2 1/2", you can buy adaptors to take that down to 2" to mate up with your existing hose.

Adam, I just noticed Autometrics has them. I don't know if they will help you but it's worth a shot.

Cheers, James

Thumbs up

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

I ended up using a duct with a 2.5 inch barrel. I inserted my existing ducting it into the barrel (rather than over it), wired it on and duct taped it. Not the best solution, but it seemed to work at a PCA DE event this past weekend. I’m headed to an open track day on Saturday at Homestead and will be monitoring the duct tape seal.

Best regards, Adam.
