Just out of curiosity, what kinds of speeds and times are you guys getting on road courses?
E.g. all would be indicated - have no clue on accuracy:
VIR Front Straight - 126 mph (1.55 N) - good tailwind![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
VIR Back Straight (Full) - 131 mph (in my Acura don't think its much above 120 in the P-car)
CMP Back Straight before kink - 115 mph (2.00)
RR Front Straight - 122 mph (time ?? streets and screwey ride height)
Just curious what the faster cars are hitting out there.

Here are some speeds from our 993 RSR.
VIR front 148-149 summer
VIR back 151-152 summer
RR 155 winter, 150-151 summer
These speeds are all with Daytona gearing (very tall, and would be a little higher with correct gears) and are taken from the data aquisition system.

Schneikes! You guys are making me feel sooo insignificant. To attempt to quote Danny Glover from Grand Canyon - "you feel like a fly on the *** of a cow as you drive by on the highway at 70 mph. . . Yeah that's pretty small."
Cory, this winter run at RR, was it Januaray per chance with PCA?
Ok, back to my tinker toys.

The winter times were in fact from a Florida Crown de and one of our lapping days in Jan. It's amazing what a difference 30 degrees makes. The lap times at RR are typically 1.5 or so sec slower in the summer than in the winter.

Cory,
Which tire does the Autometrics team normally run in dry conditions ? And what about normal pressures? I'm running Hoosiers
ASo3's "r" compound and pressures in the 38-41 psi range, but it's rather tail happy and the rears are 315 35 ZR17's. Thanks!

Adam, if it makes you feel better, I have only gotten up to 110 once in the back stretch of CMP. Usually I am around 100. But I have only done two DE’s,so I hope to improve.

Howard,
We run dunlop slicks on the RSR, 250/650 front and 285/680 (long tracks) or 305/650 rear (short tracks). The dunlop's are measured a little different than other brands so to get a reference on the size, the 285 is about a 12-12.5 inch section width. We normally try to run 31-32 psi hot. The hoosiers take more but I have had the most success with them at 36 hot. 38-41 seems a little high to me.

Damn, that sucks bro - I am going to be there Oct 27-29 (Sandlapper BMW LD & DE) and Nov 2-3 (Triangle-Z TT and DE). Well I guess between us we got that three week period covered. How about doing a test and tune on Friday Lapping day with Sandlapper (27th)? I just contacted Ronn Hale to see what the details are on that (Sanlapper BMW is doing lapping day Friday and then a 2 day DE).
Mine is a black 87-S #4. Looks and acts like an N/A.
