Ok guys, no one is arguing that NASCAR drivers are not talented.

I have seen at least one F1 driver go to NASCAR, but not the other way around.

I might be wrong, but F1 and NASCAR are not in the same league....

I might be biased because I am european, but I doubt it , facts are facts....

I used to think Daytona 500 and the other super speedways were stupid races...then I drove it. Going thru the banking gave me a whole new level of respect for the nascar guys. Going 2 wide in the banking the first is intense, and we are going much slower because we ran the 24 hour course. Plus, the g loads are very high and it is very tiring.

Facts are facts? Well, yeah, they are, and the FACT is that you are wrong.

Kindly remove your nose from being so far in the air & try to learn a bit more about that which you deride.

Brian

Y'know, just the other day, when Mark Martin was buying me a cup of coffee to pick my brain about restarts, we talked about the exact same thing.

I don't think alot of people realize that the corners at Daytona, as they said today prior to the race, are banked steeper than some people's roofs on their homes. That's pretty steep. What is it, like 31 degrees or something? I know Charlotte is 24 degrees and that is pretty steep (or so it feels) when you are driving it. 31 degrees, now that sounds like alot of fun!!!

But its certainly not as simple as just turning the wheel left....

Brian, I don't recall the name, but how many NASCAR drivers could there be with cochlear implants?

So what is your point exactly. The NASCAR guys who race in things like Daytona 24 and such turn seriously fast times in the same cars that all those top road course drivers use too. JPM went out and did anything but dominate today and he was/is one of the better F1 talents out there.

As for your bold question read up on Mario Andretti he started out in dirt track oval racing it would seem

Remember when Jeff Gordon drove JPM's F1 car at Indy? SERIOUSLY fast.

'Nuff said.
