Default Spec Boxsters in the North East

I'm thinking about building a Spec Boxster, but i have one major problem. I live in NY, and the series currently only exists in CA.

I believe in the series. I think a mid-engined, ltw, properly engineered sports car lends itself perfectly to spec racing. I'm just hoping that it catches on in this area.

Its either BSR or SpecE36 (BMW CCA) for me. I would much rather have a proper mid-engined race car, but what good would a BSR car be without competition?

So I'm here to ask if anyone in the region is building or thinking about building a Spec Boxster.

Hey, where are you located?

I know some of the boys here in New York that will be building one or more Boxster spec cars. Send me a pm and I can fill you in.

If you think you could get 10 cars built and committed, we could talk about adding a "GROUP C" to our USERA Spec 9 Championship. We are mostly east coast based at the moment, with some pretty exciting venues on our 2007 schedule, including Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio with Grand-Am, Mosport and VIR.

e-mail me at ken@usenduro.com if there is any interest...

Good to hear your voice Ken. We Boxster Spec Racers here on the West Coast appreciate your welcome. Last week we had four of our new BSR cars at the POC event in Las Vegas. They are a blast to drive. Expecting to have a field of 12 or so by mid-April. Will keep you informed.
I'm talking to our guys about your Phoenix event but the POC is going to run in support of the PCA event at Cal Speedway that weekend.
Let us know your schedule and there may be a mid year or fall event we can bring our west coast BSR group to.
