I had trouble heel/toeing my 911, and thought racing shoes might make a difference. They didn't. Aftermarket pedals or extensions (like Wings) might be the ticket.

I wear <a href="http://www.sparcousa.com/prace_shoesboot.asp?id=9" target="_blank">these</a> shoes all day long at the track. No problems. Plus, I know I'm covered in case of fire.

I like the Sparco's: <a href="http://www.sparcousa.com/prace_shoesboot.asp?id=332" target="_blank">Top 2</a>. They're snug, but comfortable; good pedal feel.

I think the Sparco Racing 2's are great. Thin sole with less support in the ankle area. Makes easy to heal/toe. They cost a little but I think it is worth it.
