Best street/strip pads for 993TT?
What do you guys like? Car is an open-top, so squeelers won't do (No Pagid Orange.)
What heats quick on the street, sounds reasonable, and takes some track abuse well?
I've got the Big Red (993tt) brakes, so swept area is relatively good.
Best!
Ben.

Do a search on the 993 forum. They talk about this all the time.
Some brands that come to mind quickly are:
Ferodo DS 2000, MetalMaster, Performance Friction 90, OEM, etc.
Here are some links:

I think that the short answer is that you can't have it all. If it is not too much trouble, then you should just swap them out at the track. It's really easy to swap out the brake pads. Probably a 15 minute job.

Thanks Jeff, far as I see it, there's really no consensus (tried the search before posting, came up pretty much with the same thing.)
I suppose it is pretty darn easy to change pads )
(good tip to remove the anti-squeel bits, which seem to be counterproductive)
Best!

Hi Ben:
FWIW, I've had very good luck with the Ferodo DS 2000's for street and some track work.
There is no question that if you are an aggressive braker during DE events, then you are best served with Pagid Orange for those applications. The DS 2000's are excellent combo pads.
