Larry, I stayed at the Chateau, it was okay considering the rate. What's amazing is how much they don't know about Road Atlanta when I was there(last year). It took several calls to find someone who knew the back way to RA from the hotel. Every activity there was extra $$$. The winery was not bad and lunch at the winery restaurant was actually very good. Breakfast/brunch was good. I am jealous if your doing the CR at RA would have liked to go.

Isn't Chateau owned by Panoz? You would think they know the way to the track.

For those of you traveling with spouses or family that don't want to spend the day at the track, Buckhead is about a 35 minute drive in non-rush hour traffic. Many hotel options; shopping and restaurants. Plenty of bling and exotic cars at Lenox Mall.

Word of caution, your wife may spend more over the weekend than you will at the track!
