BeaveRun Race - we need racers now!
I just received this from the race chairman for the BeaveRun PCA race in July. I want to race there this summer, so people need to sign up now. I don't want to do yard work ...

As you know, ARPCA is presenting a PCA Club Race at Beaverun Motorsports Complex on July 26-27.
We received 35 entries in the first three weeks - but just 12 since April 1st.
We need another 45 entries by June 1st or we will be forced to cancel the event.
If you or your friends are considering entry to our event, we need you to step up now! Beaverun is a safe, convenient track, just 35 miles from Pittsburgh - bring your friends and family - they can do "the wave", hunt for antiques, or visit one of several area State Parks while you race at Beaverun.
So, don't wait! Only three weeks remain to reach our goal of 90 entries.

Wish I could go, it looks like a lovely track, no one has home court advantage, and it's not crazy far away. Sadly for me Mosport is the next weekend and I'm already committed. Hope the numbers come up!

I do believe it's the North Course that the race is being run on, but you really need to check with the ARPCA folks.

I'm doing both, Ronny Savenor is doing both, and I think I got my usual track partner, Gregg Wilson talked into doing Mosport also. It's not far. There's only one state in between PA and Canada ...

Potomac region has cancelled its DE at Summit on 7/26-27 because of an SCCA race. This is the same weekend as the BeaveRun club race. Potomac registrar has stated that they can't get the new Shendoah track instead because it won't be ready until the fall. This means that the tentative race scheduled at the Shendoah track in August will likely not happen.
So...maybe some drivers who are out of luck because of these cancellations may want to consider racing at BeaveRun.

FYI-I sent an email last week to the address on the site with the race information asking if there were still openings. I got no response.

Don't know that I'll be able to do BeaverRun, but I sure enjoyed Mid-Ohio. Glad to get through turn one behind you and Mark! Great video footage!
I had a fun race with another E class car driven by Phil Kubik. Being my first race, I could hang with him around the track but couldn't pull off the passes that I needed. With experience I guess.
Are you or Mark going to Gingerman or Putnam?

No, next up for us is the Glen, BeaveRun, Mosport and Summit.
Glad you enjoyed Mark's spin. If you want a little closer view, I got a video of all our spins during the weekend: <a href="http://www.crisbrady.net/mo-2003.html" target="_blank">Both Feet In Video</a>
Can't say MO was one of my best races. Didn't improve any on the start and ended up losing 2 positions during the race. A spin on the 2nd to last lap didn't help matters. Ah well, that's racing!
