What is the best route to the Lime Rock from Northern New Jersey, towing an open car trailer? This is the first time I 'm trailing, I 'd like to know the easiest to drive for some extra time.
Thanks

I took 287 to 87 all the way to rt 44 east. Great tow route.
Mapquest gave me a strange route that was crazy.
Enjoy Lime Rock. The food is good and the track is a ball!

from rockland county, ny, just next door to bergen county, nj, I take the NYS thruway (287) over the tappan zee bridge. After TZ bridge proceed to 87 (cross westchester), follow to route 684 (brewster). Stay on 684 which becomes route 44 (don't take the first exit sign that says route 44), STAY ON 684 UNTIL THERE IS NO MORE 684! At this point the road narrows to two lanes. Rte 44 will take you through Pawling. You will also pass through Amenia. 44 becomes 22 east, follow 44/22 into Millerton. Turn (rt) at route 112, this takes you into Connecticut and Lime Rock.
Before you pass Lime Rock PArk, you will see a sign to enter by where there is a side road on your right. Bear right and the entrance to LRP will be on your left.
have fun!

If you get to a LRP sign and turn in area that overlooks the entire track, you went too far. Turn around, go back maybe 1/4 mile and make a left turn (what was a right turn when coming towards LRP).
