FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTHSTAR MOTORSPORTS announces a strategic partnership with LAPS Incorporated. LAPS is the premier track lapping club in the Midwest.
LAKE BARRINGTON, IL, January 23, 2007 – Northstar Motorsports, the countries premier auto racing safety equipment company, has formed a strategic partnership with LAPS Incorporated. LAPS is the premier track lapping club in the Midwest. They offer the opportunity to drive on the Autobahn Country Club’s full 3.56 mile track configuration on 10 Mondays from April thru October. LAPS features friendly people, plenty of track time and convenience. The Autobahn facility is 55 minutes from downtown Chicago and participants have the ability to drive all day and yet return home to their families that evening.
LAPS inaugural year was 2006. During the 10 track days last year the membership evolved into an exclusive track club with an emphasis on socialization. The LAPS dates for 2007 are as follows:
· April 16th
· May 7th
· June 18th
· July 16th
· July 30th
· August 13th
· September 10th
· September 24th
· October 15th
As a result of this partnership, Northstar Motorsports has become the Official Safety Equipment Supplier for LAPS. Even though many LAPS members are already customers of Northstar, this partnership should result in significantly more business from the LAPS membership.
Northstar will have a presence at each of the track days during 2007 to provide track side support and general information regarding the equipment that Northstar provides. Additionally, Northstar is developing several award programs for LAPS members who participate in these 10 events without incurring any damage to their vehicle.
Northstar’s president and owner, John Ruther said “ We are very excited to have formed this strategic partnership with LAPS Incorporated which should result in more of LAPS members becoming Northstar’s customers and vice versa. Shawn Young, President of LAPS Incorporated has the same philosophy about track driving as we do at Northstar “Safety is the primary objective of each track day, then comes becoming a better driver and having a great time socializing with other members.” For more information about a LAPS membership check out their website at www.lapsincorporated.com. Due to the inherent dangers of the sport, we believe only the highest quality products should be used when racing. At Northstar, we are racers, and if we wouldn’t use the product we won’t sell it. Great, just what I need, the ability to easily buy more racing stuff...!!! 
What kind of equipment are you going to have for sale at the track? It would definitely be nice to be able to try some things out and know immediately whether they're going to work or not.

No affiliation - Shawn and John are both great guys, and highly regarded in the PCA community (especially here in Chicago). Great news - are you going to have equiptment at the track to see/try out?

Northstar Motorsports/LAPS INC. Rolex 24 at Daytona Party
The 2007 Race Season is just about ready to get under way starting with the Rolex 24 at Daytona. This prestigious event starts this coming Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 12 Noon central time. Join us for the start of this great race and watch the number 12 Daytona Prototype from RVO Motorsports. This car is sponsored in part by Northstar Motorsports and is driven by team owner Roger Schramm, Jack Baldwin, NASCAR Craftsman Truck driver - Bill Lester and Justin Bell, son of the great endurance driver Derek Bell. Northstar is proud to have supplied OMP drivers suits for this team as well as Sabelt harnesses for the car.
