I wish I had known this few weeks ago... I think I would've gotten the xbox 360 instead.

Perhaps non Sony peripherals will have force feedback?
Logitech is a licensee of Immersion.

Yeah, that is a major downside for the PS3. Thankfully there are good PC alternatives e.g. GTR2 and rFactor. Xbox 360 will also have Forza 2 with force feedback, so it's clear that the PS3 will be far behind in the simulation racing market.

this makes more sense i have heard that the no force in PS3 statement is wrong by many people who played it

but it may be the case for GT4/5 becuase it's made by sony!

depends on the lawsuit with immersion being a software issue ( not allowing signals to be sent) or a hardware issue in which case logitech wheels would be fine since others have already used them with other PS3 games

i am not worried sony will settle if they realize they can't have it

Enjoy.
I have been playing for 2 weeks now.
Turn off the driver helps and turn damge on and the game is really really fun. Difficult but fun.
The pit stops are really fun because unlike other f1 games where you just stop and the pit crew does the job, in this game you have to be quick with the buttons.
Also teh qualifying is so fun becasue it is the 3 sessions like in real life.
Have fun.
If you surround sound, hook it up. The game is in 5.1 and the sound is good.

Excellent info!!

The commentary from the journalists in Japanese actually sounds cool.
