Streets of Willow Video
Can someone point me to a proven, reliable
source for an in car video of Steets of Willow?
I would like to attend a DE there and would
like to start learning the track before.
I've done a search and come up with a number
of sites, but they are either broken or
not the complete track.
I know about Olsen's video's and they seem
like they would be ideal, but I don't seem
to have access to them.
Thanks!

There is a student event this Saturday at the Streets of Willow, you still have time to enter.......and make your own video! It's a 2 day event, Saturday being students only, and on Sunday it's open to students and members. Typically Saturday will be run clockwise and on Sunday CCW. Check out the new POC web site www.porscheownersclub.org
Also at www.willowspringsraceway.com you can print out track maps.
good luck !

tim,
i have a video of the streets going clockwise at:
http://www.zenmarblegarden.com/motor...ncarvideo.html
take a look but keep i mind it is 8.4 mb at a quicktime .mov file.
i drive with the poc and would also strongly reccomend the events.

Same here...see if you can get out on the track with POC. Studying videos and track maps is kinda fun but really no substitute at all for seat time!
Unfortunately I can't make it this weekend though.
Cheers,

I agree with Chris, studying videos is of little help, IMO. The 2D projection on the screen doesn't really come close to representing the 3D image that you see when you're actually in the car. And the video images tend to be too narrow in field-of-view; there's a lot of times at the Streets course where I'm looking around the corner through my side window.
Best preparation? Just go there and drive laps! After 3-5laps, you'll have it down.
