Do you need an auxiliary oil cooler to deal with heat on hot track days? Do you need to compensate for oil starvation during high speed turns? Also how about a 3rd radiator? I'm going from a 996 3.4L that needed compenstations to a 997s 3.8L. Have the problems been resolved within the engine, or should I use the belt and suspenders aproach? Yes, I know the 996 & 997 both do well with "normal" driving. I'm asking for a discussion on high speed track work, hot days, etc. Thanks for your input.

got moved to the advanced run group (black) at the end of last season and was driving my miata at a pca event but by no means i'm an advanced driver. i took a ride in an instructors car a 997s at the glen. only things changed on his car were springs and r-comp. he had no probelems with oil starvation or heat. hope this helps.
