Post Stupid Question, PCA Car Classification

OK... Just so I get this right. If my car "stock” falls in the “Class" F (86 944 Turbo) but has a couple mods that puts it in the "Prepared Class" and up one level... then that would make my car "944T Prepared Class E". Correct???

(For the record, I used to have an SCCA prepped BMW 2002 that was considered an ITB car, or "[I]mproved [T]ouring class [B]")

So with that in mind, considering my car number is 818, then would I put, "818 PE" on the car? for "[P]repared [C]lass [E]"?

Sorry if this sounds elementary, but I don't run with PCA so I'm not entirely familiar with their classification. But I am since I’m now running with the Porsche Racing Club and they use the same classification.

Thanks in advance!

You are correct that you will be a Prepared E class car but your number will just be 818 E. Check out the rules under www.pca.org. for club racing.

Doc,
Thanks for the compliment. Re: the race car she isn't a concours car but she has a lot of personality!
On the program or time sheet your car will be listed as Class: E Car: P 86 944T
if you were a stock E it would be S XXXX.

Greg, I have to admit, I am a bit envious.

I'd also have to say if I could have any production based Porsche, (besides a GT1 ) it would be a 993-based GT2 or RSR. In my opinion, the 993 was the pinnacle of the 911 based design.

Nice Car! But I have one question, Why did you get black flagged?

Passing too many BMW's per lap?
(What is the limit, 12? I think it varies from track to track)
