Default Kodiak wheels anyone ?

I'd like to find out the good/bad/ugly with using Kodiak wheels (http://www.kodiakracingwheels.com/) for track use.

Would appreciate anyone sharing their experience, and any comments wrt comparison with other "usual" suspects (Fikse, BBS, Kinesis).

thanks.

Mine are on order and should arrive in the next couple weeks. I've heard only good things about them such as extremely lightweight, made of high quality materials, and sold at a reasonable price compared to fikse. Search for posts by catca on Pelican for more info.

in fact, that's where (Pelican) I found/heard about these wheels. A bit surprised that nobody seems to know / use them - a bit concerning?

I know nothing about Kodiak, but can personally vouch for CCW as I purchased 2 (identical) sets of CCW wheels last summer. I found CCW very knowledgeable about fitment, reliable delivery (delivered on time as promised & in time for club race) and responsive to the customer's needs. They called me about a week after the race to follow-up and make sure everything was received on time and was satisfactory - which it was.

I have no affiliation with CCW - just a satisfied customer.

If I'm not mistaken, CCW and Kodiak use the same supplier as the base for their wheels. I remember reading something about it on Pelican.

P.T.
Jean-Robert was looking at the Kodiaks for his GT3 as well. You may want to contact him for info.. I have them on the Radical and they are very, very light. Have never seen them on a P-car.

+ 3 on CCW... I ordered Kodiak's originally but they blew deadlines 3 months in a row, cost me a missed race. CCW? 1 week.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the heads up... can you please PM me his contact? Or I'm sure I can ask RobM. So, no problem on your Radical?

thanks...

P.S. Will see you "soon" at LMCT or Calabogie

Yes - I hear similar concerns as well. Though these will be my street/back up ones so it just a tad less concerning for me. I'll take another look at CCW but I think they are still quite a bit more than the Kodiak.
