Default Headers for an SC... where to get them?

I see one set for sale on Pelican but it seems that every time I try and order from them lately (for anything but basic supplies) I get an email telling me that there will be a delay.. followed a week later by one telling me I may as well forget it and cancel my order.

Straight (equal length?) headers, no heat exchangers. I will connect them to a custom made (FreeFlo 80) muffler system. While i'm asking also would like to know where to get (again, no heat) headers for an 82 930.

I'm considering (if they aren't SS) having them ceramic coated, any opinion on this (or are they all SS)?

Thanks!

Gary,

George's headers are popular with several guys I know with SCs/ 911s. Ceramic coating is probably worth considering. I think your shop will be able to get them for you ... or you can call Steve Weiner at Rennsport Systems.

Call Rob at S-Car-Go, he is a straight shooter, and I have heard good things about their headers.

Steve Weiner is your man. He'll listen to what you want, assess and offer 30 yrs experience in building 911 race cars, and deliver an A+ product...he did mine, and I couldn't be happier.

I don't know anything about them but my car came with Bursch headers they are not big $$$$. They are shown in the Smart Racing Catalog. They also advertise what they call European Racing headers.

They could be Georges. I had them for my old Carrera, and they worked well. They are mild steel though, so I had them Jet Hot coated. After 10 years, they are still in service on the car.

Gary,

I had Chris Musante make a custom set of headers for my SC. Maybe you can track him down as another option. I can say they lasted a long time and made good power.

These work fine, and are reasonable. Ihave used them several times for cars. Get You about 95-97% of what Your car can do. There are better ones available but obviously the price is quite a bit higher for the incremental gain. Only You can say if its worth it....

Thanks guys, seems like the European Headers seem to be preferred for the SC. I have a ceramic coating guy not too far away and thats the way I would go with them.
