Default window net mounting help

Alright guys,
I'm going to be installing a net on my 944 spec/cup car and I was wondering how you all mounted them to your car?

I have the buckle figured out (i think) but the rear mount for the net I'm a little stumped on. So I'm looking for ideas on how to do this.

thanks guys!

Do you have a cage? Usually, you attach it to tabs welded to your cage.

Mine is strapped to the bottom part of cage, spring-loaded into welded tabs on the top...

Dave,
I noticed a little gap between the net and the cage where the cage bends and the net does not. Does that pass tech? I assume it would, but just make sure.

thanks!

Be careful with your placement of tabs and latches so you don't smack your head on them climbing in/out of the car.

+1 on avoiding scalping yourself with the tabs....it hurts.

Yup, no issues. The cage-builder recommended/installed and it works fine. I can clip the net up fully suited/strapped with HANS.

The little gap at the front allows a small beverage pass through during pit stops and/or a friendly point to screaming Cup cars

I had some similar issues/concerns last season with my 944 turbo. A rennlister recommended a Schrotch window net kit, net buckle, clamp-on tabs and two web straps. I like the set up. If you are looking for a weld-on unit, Dave @ Adavanced-Autosports.com has a great weld-on kit and the net angle matches most nascar driver's doors.

Most of the universal kits are crap. I bought and returned the Autopower kit and just ended up making my own brackets and tabs. The Schroth kit looks like one of the better ones. I like the ones with spring loaded rods that slide into place. It seems like most window net set-ups I see at the track are compromises and don't fit very well, probably just due to the fact that there are so many different cage and doorbar designs..
