Very nice, I'm sure it's quite fast. I'll run ya when ever you want though.

BTW is that a right hand drive car? Can't tell from the pics.

well it makes perfect sense seeing how the ferrari makes 275lbs of torque at 4,750 and scooby has 300lbs at 4,000. besides, street light drag races is not what it was built for.

if you want that, i'll show you to the chevy dealership packed w/ unwanted c5's. i'm sure they're cheaper than sti's now. do two laps on the track in each of them, however, and i'm sure you won't care ab a subaru owner talking ab ferrari's lack of speed.

plus, it's not only what you do, it's how you do it. show me one person who would rather be rockin' a subaru over a ferrari LOL.

Agreed, but not many ferrari owners rock their 100K+ cars on track (which i think is sad because thats where they can really drive their cars).

And what i meant by pulling was from 80+ onto 140 down the front straight on summit main (turn 10 to turn 1). I figured the weight advantage (400lbs) and the power advantage (400hp over the suby's 300hp) would make it clear that the ferrari had legs on the straight.

Make no mistake about it either, it was moving away from my econo sedan just fine, just not in that "omg its a ferrari those are so COOL" school boy sort of way.

Yes, I'm envious of any ferrari owner (not their repair bills though), and to see one on track is really cool to me. I love the sound of those cars, i love when they pass me (and they do). But I dont see many of them

so props to any high priced car owner taking their *insert car over 60K here* (yes in my eyes 60k is high priced.. but I'm 22 so work with me a little) on the track .

Okay, I'll bite out of ignorance. I'm assuming it's not stock, right? In stock form it's not really a Porsche killer. 328hp, 0-60 in 4.9

mine is 543 awhp on pumpgas

stock r34 held the record street car lap at nurburing.. untill 996 TT took it away....

How many Ferraris did you compare? Is it possible the driver was a bit timid (or didn't feel the need to hit/ exceed 135)? The fact that exit speed at T10 was only 80 mph (and yours as well) tells me they weren't even close to the edge of the performance envelope (not even 8/10s).

you are right, it was only 1 ferrari, so i guess i could have jumped the gun on saying anything. I live for the day I see another on the track, there is nothing better than a tessterosa red sports car passing you and hearing that v8 with that sound!!!

80's about all i can do in 10 IIRC, with street tires, and -.8 front camber (grumble grumble econobox)

if you run w/ the ferrari club you'll be passing many timid drivers, but there will be few who can spare a 360 or 10 and then you'll really be able to enjoy the noise.

as for speed through t10, run w/ potomac instead of nasa if you wanna go a little faster there. lots of other 44cuppers do. i know you want to run w/ your buddies in nasa, but they're not gonna make you any better.

never run with the Ferrari club, although i hear their events are nice.

10 is not the only turn i can improve on.. cant forget 1-9 as well I always learn something at the track, that i hope will make me a better driver.

I'm still learning, and always improving no matter who i run with. Next year i hope to do more events with more clubs (pca being one of them). But well see how racing effect the budget.

}{arlequin post of pic of your car, as i remember its nice looking

Leh,
That car was far from stock , a stock r34 is SLOW in stock form it is no match for a 996TT..
543 whp is not a stock r34, the stock turbos will not like much above 400 whp.
a stock r34 with upgraded turbos will see, the better side of 700whp , but will require oiling mods to stay alive...1000 whp have been done from built motors , still a 2.6 L

Ohh, by the way F1 drivers have been known to put their ********* in the front compartment of their cars , but that practices was banned by the FIA , last year, as they where deemed, to be , a movable aerodynamic device....
