Watching that video gives me such a case of Horsepower Envy . . .

Thanks for posting!

Hah!, I grided next to you. Why did you start dead last? I had lent my car to someone who toasted their engine on Saturday. He came in late, so I went from P10 to the back. You went by me like I was parked. (D car #340). I made a classic rookie mistake and did not check my tires from the prior driver which were set for him. My Hoosiers hit 47 lbs by lap 3 and instead of getting faster, my times got slower (still managed 3rd in class). You were way tooo nice to the slower cars in not taking T10 on them. Thanks for sharing.

Rich, I thought you drove plenty fast enough. The "too nice" was a compliment. I think you would have grabbed another position otherwise. My car was actually 1 sec plus faster last year, but I changed the springs to progressive and it suffered in the dry, yet really helped in the rain/wet sessions. Makes sense on the qualifying because your dry lap times put you much higher on the grid.

Car running Great. Took me all season to get used to the additional power. Slowly but surely moving in the right direction.

Yes it "was" but between the minor body damage I had at LRP a month ago and the track's condition I decided to saddle up at LRP in April (body work will be completed this winter).. and from the "Rain Video" i'm not too unhappy that I waited! I've been told they are repaving this winter... hopefully thats true.

Gary

Who is repaving this winter?? LRP or Summit PT. Lots of people complain, but I think Summit is in much better condition than lrp.
Please let me know...didnt know you had some unexpected body work coming up. Good luck!!

That was a really enjoyable video. Great soundtrack, creative editing and even some good racing mixed in . Glad to see that you are getting your car and driving sorted out. Hope to see you out there next year.

Larry
thanx, making the vids takes almost as much time as it takes to drive to the track and home. Good momentos though.

Congrats to you too!!! Rumor has it you were the man in Fl..

Looking foward to Jupe and 38D's videos from Daytona.

Rich - I was told SP was going to repave... forget about LRP.. they will wait until ALMS or another big customer refuses to run there before they fix it. I actually get banged more at SP than LRP in my car..

Gary:

Bill Scott owner of SP [three tracks, BSR, etc ...] announced a re-pave at the Jefferson 500 this past May (ish). I've driven both for many years ... each has its good and bad

Rich: nice vid. Weather sucked ... didn't it? I was the lone "bathtub" rep in the '62 coupe.
