Default G-Sum works, IF...

...it is accompanied by minumum "jerk" (the change in acceleration). High Gs yield low lap times, but high jerk causes abrupt changes in the contact patch, increases shear loads at the tire/track junction and is, generally, a measure of unsmooth driving. "Gs" good; "jerk" bad.

That's bugged me for some time. Someone else can tune the math and put it in a DAS, I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Carry on.

It's about a driver being able to home in exactly on the appropriate G spot on the map.

From what I've been able to deduce, it's all about the "come hither" finger motion...

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof which this post is too small to contain.

I knew someone would work out the details. C'mon Ed, how about a little cut and paste, or maybe posting a link?

And that person resides right here. Maybe if you begged & pleaded he would return to grace us with his limitless G-Sum knowledge.

Sorry, I was being math-nerd funny. A guy named Fermat wrote down a very short theorem and that wiseacre comment in the margin of a book in the 1600s. Took 350+ years of thinking by the best mathematicions in the world to prove :-)

Thanks for the explanatione Ed, 'cause now it is funny.

Personally, g-spot holds much more interest than g-sum, although there may be an interesting theorem in there waiting to be teased out.

I am sure it is useful, but the secret is all in how you use it! I think it is fascinating . . .

With respect to the G-Spot, you can have proof that it worked if there are more racers in the world about nine months later . . .

His alias is false advertising as he has not changed his spots. Referring to Rennlist.

“There are a lot of people over there who are of low character. I have heard it referred to before as the mutual *** licking society.

There are some decent people, but too few to be worthwhile in my book. Don't sweat it Cleve.”

Cleve is an owner of a GT2 who likes to enter drifting competitions. He had a video posted here and I think there were some less than complementary comments made.
