By the posted race results, it appears that he did not start. I don't know why.

Dave

Roland's hood was vandalized on Thursday night, so I'm not sure if he felt confident in the duct tape and hammer repair at ~200mph, or if there was another problem.

Dave
I had to go to Chicago unexpectedly, but I'll put up photos this weekend. Meanwhile, I'll PM you the link to Will's photos.

It's run by and at the Vegas Speedway. However, it's on a pokey little track round the back of the parking lot, rather than on the banking where there might be some relevance to the Silver State. In May, I'm afraid I was rather disappointed to pay $300 plus another night's hotel, for not much more than a dozen laps in 2nd and 3rd.
Still, that's the rules, and it's fun meeting the other rookies.

Linda tells me you posted some pics, just before she had to dash off for Europe. Please share!!!

Dave

I've just put up a couple of photos - bear with me as I've run out of space on MSN, so I'll have to juggle to put up some more.

Default Ruf_DNS?

After a short "test" at speed we discovered a small oil leak. Turns out the leak was caused by a defective oil filler cap..not seating. WTF??

Yes,the Ruf car was vandalized Thursday..some A-*ole forced entry to the front compartment.

Cheers

I'm really sorry you couldn't make the race after you worked so hard to fix the car. It's truly gorgeous, and I can't wait to see it run next time.

Egads! That's where we were staying too! Sorry to hear about your trouble. If it's any comfort, we're facing several thousand $ in body work for the damage we received en route to Ely.

What is it about nice cars? I've never received hail damage or concentrated "loose gravel" damage before in my life. This car got both inside of two years. In fact, the hail damage hit us in our second week of ownership. Cripes.

See ya in '07!!!

Sorry you both had problems this time. I hope the pain fades in time for May at the NORC. See you there!
