Looks good man. Good luck to you guys!

gt3skea's got it wrapped up. Don't let him fool ya.

Brian

NA 3.4 liter weighs 2060 with some gas. I was told it dynoed at 360 hp but I am taking it tomorrow to have the dyno pulls for NASA and the tech inspection as well. If it does not pass tech (which I don't think will be a problem since it is a Kelly-Moss built car), I'll be running my 993 in GTS3 which is the car I've been running all year.

I got really frustrated running NASA because the 993 is too heavy for GTS3 if you still want to run PCA D class. I've had the door panels on and off, spare tire out, passsenger seat and belts in and out too many times this year.

There have been three Ohio/Indiana region ringers in GTS3 all season, two BMW's and Sasha Clark in his modified 993. I cannot even stay close. In fact, in the last race, I got lapped by one of the BMW's. Most of it has to do with the driver but my 993 being 400 lbs overweight doesn't help a whole lot.

I'm not sure it's the weight that matters in your case. You should have around 240rwhp and weigh in at 3064. That's a p/w of 12.7, which seems like it would be ok. To me, it's all the other goodies you are missing: short gears, monster brakes, big wing, wider wheels, etc. Those are free in NASA GTS , and would make a huge difference to lap times.

True to a certain extent. Couple the changes you mentioned with a lightening program like fiberglass fenders up front and wider fg flares in the rear and you have Sasha Clark's car.

NASA weight includes the driver too. I could theoretically get the car down to 2750 lbs and be okay.

My problem is the changes put me into GT2S in PCA and I am a moving chicane there.

Mike,
Any German made car is allowed. Norm has had his beast out a couple of times and had some comp. at Putnam last year with a factory BMW race car. NASA is a great race group, would love to see some of the PCA cuppies join the fun! I hope this National Championship format (and prize money) will attract more PCA club racers next season!

Yes a GT3 Cup falls into GTS-5, same class as my car. I have yet to outrun a GT3 Cup car unless it was driven by :

Plus, there's a GT3RS registered for Nationals I noticed in GTS-5.

How many NASA GTS races do you have to attend in order to go to Nationals?
I am thinking of racing with this group next year and would like to compete in the nationals.

This year, earning points in 5 races gets you to National Championship race(2 races per weekend) It may change next year.
