I don't think you will get much help with "fit" here because every person is different, both physically and in personal preferences. You need to go to a reseller or three to try the various seats. A good sized dealer will have several sizes for those seats that come in different sizes. The Kirkey stock sizes for their Roadrace Seats are 15", 16", 17" and 18". For a $50 charge, they will make them in any other width that you like. I'm sure there are others that will do the same/similar. You need to try them, and others, to find the seat best for you.

Just try out seats at the track. Walk around and find a car with a seat that you'd like to try out. Ask the owner if you can sit in it.
I sat in the Sparco Pro2000 and really liked it - very supportive, much more so than the Evo/Evo2. Unfortunately it was a bit too narrow for my 38" waist. Maybe it would work well for your size. Give it a try.

Joe -- When you're next up in the bay area we have both 15" and 16" kirkeys installed that you are welcome to try out (The wippersnapper has the 15's and I have the 16"s)

Jerry, I think I saw your name on the Lotus Club at Thunderhill in a two weeks. Was that you? If so, I'll have to sit in your seats then!

There's a place in Sacramento (Tognottis, corner of Arden and El Camino) which had a great display of both race, bucket and semi-race, recline seats. Also, Livermore Performance which had Kirley seats. No affiliation! PM me if you need more info. BTW, did you finish install those big brakes on your 944

Mike, thanks for the lead. I've sat in a handful of seats, but only found a couple that are snug -- I'll head down there and see what I find there.
And yep -- I've installed those Wilwood brakes, which are infinitely better than 20 year old calipers in desperate need of rebuild. Pads don't last long, though...
