Default Is there something wrong with my wife?

I haven't been racing much the last couple of years, we bought a house that we could barely afford, in the fixer-upper category, so either spare time or money has been flowing in that direction. We recently experienced an improvement in our financial situation, and my wife didn't say- Cool, new dining room set, or cool, new kitchen cabinets, what she said was cool, WE'RE GOING RACING!
Is this as unusual as it seems?
Is she a mutant?
Have aliens taken over her body?
Is this safe?

Hmmm, those sleep hypnotic suggestions finally paid off!

I just hope that you didn't say "You know, about the dining room...."

Maybe it's a planetary shift because my wife ran in her first-ever DE this past weekend at LRP.. and witnessed her first spin out the second day. Did she say "Gee I hope he is ok", or anything like that?
Nope..
She said to her instructor - "Gee I hope that doesn't cut into my run time!"

Cool

You are blessed She's a keeper.

My wife has begun to talk about her OWN track car. When I suggested that would require a new larger trailer and an F350 to pull the new trailer plus the new track car and that would total about 120k, she said, where's the problem. When I suggested she could get a job to cover the addition expense, suddenly sharing a car wasn't so bad.

I'm glad there's some sanity out there! My wife wants me to get a full sized truck after seeing my 4 Runner hooked up to the trailer. She said, "The SUV looks so small compared to the trailer. You need a big truck!" She's still saying this even after cutting a few checks to Steve Weiner for the much needed go fast stuff for the SC.

Be cautious. Very cautious. That "We're going racing" comment probably has more strings attached than a harp!

You are blessed as I am with a great wife.

My wife does timed competition with the POC using our GT3 street that we share. But last fall she talked me into getting my Cup car so I could fullfill my dream of racing.

Of course that might have been so she could keep the GT3 street for herself but regardless of the motive I went with the flow!

Congraulations - now go racing!
