Does anyone know why the new RSR weighs more than the previous one?

don't forget that aircon is becoming a requirement for ACO/ALMS/LMES cars, which accounts for some of the weight gain.

Doesn't the air restrictors size increase with the weight also?

I believe that the new rules call for a mandatory weight increase so as to encourage the use of air conditioning in Le Mans cars. Something like 20 kilos. Porsche built the new car to the new rule. Interesting that it is a 3.8 while the RS is a 3.6 liter.
