Default Anyone selling a GT3RS or RSR

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to see what is out there for those cars. I was interested in the 2002 - 2004 years and how much are they going for.

There is 2000 GT3 RS in Autoweek magazine. $95,000.

Will a RS or RSR have more expensive repairs than a regular Cup car?

Thanks, I too saw that one and called Todd over there in the add, and he really didn't know much about that car. He said everything was in Japanese.

Why would you want a R or RS over a stock Cup?

I talkes to an RS owner a few weeks ago at Willow Springs, and he was quite candid about his expenses.
He said after running the car consistently of 2-3 years, the suspension was worn out and needed a major overhaul. He spent $38,000 on parts for it alone. Also, he said after 40 hours of operation the engine is ready for a freshening up, about $15,000 to $20,000.
After 40 hours, they start doing a compression check after every practice session.
Man, I thought a 4 cylinder was delicate.

That would be true... expensive car to run . Also, if you have little or no experience in one of those cars have someone soften the set up on it to make it easier to drive. I see to many people jump into an ex pro car with a pro driver set up and end up putting it into a ditch.

the main thing about a RS is it is extremly hard to drive.......... alot of guys buy them.. and realize they dont really wana be driving something like that.... so if your real serious... u need to drive one first.....

even tho a rs would blow away a 996 cup car.... most people would do around the same times in both....

WOW...

The best series of quotes I've ever seen on this topic. If you feel that any of these cars are "easy" to be fast in, you are not. They are only easy cars to drive SLOWLY, and you can plan on DOUBLING the purchase price in upkeep if you keep it very long. GREAT cars, but....

From my very limited experience there are only a handful of non pros running in PCA that can make use of the extra power/grip of the RS or RSR versus a Cup Car.

Plus, even if you can make use of it, the race isn't as fun (unless you start from the back and have fun making a mockery of the "penalty".... )
