Nitto NT 01 and Toyo RA-1 (mix and match?) different R compounds a no no?
So apparently the Nitto NT 01 is made by Toyo
...so I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Nitto NT 01 in back with Toyo RA1s in front
The Nitto NT 01 are available in 285 30 18 in rear (cheaper than Toyo RA1 275 35 18s which are not the proper size).. BUT the Nitto NT 01 is only available in a 245 40 18 in front instead of the 225 40 18 I need so I'm wondering if I can get away with the NT01 in back and RA1 in fronts.
any thoughts?

Burning Brakes
I don't understand why Toyo doesn't get with it and make Porsche appropriate tire sizes. I would love to try either one of those tires, but am uncomfortable mixing them.

Are they the same tire?
Expecting a Nitto to be like a Toyo is like expecting a Bridgestone to be like a Firestone and a Michelin to be like a BFG.
Also, most track event sanctioning groups require the same tire on all four corners.

yeah, I realized just now that they are indeed 275 35 18s just like the RA-1s.. ooops I was so excited about a new and different R compound reasonably priced that I didn't even bother to double check closely to make sure of the rear size
