Default Non-racers using Hans or Isaacs?

Hi all,

I've read with great interest all the threads on the Hans and Isaacs, and decided to go with the cheaper Isaacs version when I get my new helmet soon. But I was wondering, how many of you either use or have seen others on the track use any head-and-neck-type device that are NOT in race group. I am a Time Trialer and just wondering for myself. TIA!

DE's and I use an Isaac.

Most people don't, but I encourage everyone to get one (along with a firesuit, etc.). Especially when your getting up there in speed.

Isaac for DE. AFAIK, I'm the only one in my region that wears one for DE, at least I'm the only one I've seen. Although the risk in DE is a lot less than racing (IMHO), I feel I owe it to my wife and 2 year old son to wear it.

I wear an Isaac. I think it makes sense to wear one whether you're racing or not.

It's as easy to kill yourself in a DE or TT as a race.

Hans in DE. Incident at the Glen last Summer really got a bunch of us motivated to spend some $ on safety items.

The more expensive quick release ISAAC in DEs and racing. Any solution is better than none, this one made sense to me.

That is shocking. I'm shaking my head in stunned disbelief.

HANS in DE as are all of my buddies. The harsh reality is that DE has become very fast with cars that basically are race ready (performance wise, not safety wise). You can hit the wall just as hard in DE as in racing. Let's all be safe out there.
