Default BMW support for LRP?

Do anyone know / think that BMW's announcement at the NY Auto Show regarding supplying the pace car (a new M5) for the next three years at LRP events is a prelude to future BMW funding for improvements at the track? From the sound of the press release, it sounds like they might be in the early stages of sponsoring more than just the pace car.... Sure would be nice. Check out limerock.com for the article.

Fingers are crossed.

When I was out at Laguna Seca for Skippy School, one of the instructors mentioned that Skip Barber sold his company/school/series, but still personally owns Lime Rock.
I hope he keeps it open.

He did that a couple of years ago, as I recall.

While providing the pace car is about equivalent to buying a billboard for BMW advertising, maybe it will be their first small step to investment in the facilities.

No idea on this, but at a recent event at LRP we had a one hour quiet time during a church memorial service. The club didn't have to do it, but the track asked and it sure does help community relations. Apparently the owner is now a member of the church and his wife sings in the choir. I think they are really making a push for racing on Sunday.

O hey I was there as well. I do believe I saw your yellow 911. It was pretty much right behind me in the paddock, I was in the black 944 in the green run group. Had a blast out there in the rain, and learned A LOT.
