And a checkered flag lap hasn't happened in PCA ever since! ...what was that, 10 years ago?

No I wasn't making any judgements about the quality of the driving... just that the fields were larger, for better or worse. As you say, this can be a detriment to good racing if there are alot of backmarkers.

Well Thanks for all the advise! I receive plenty of advise, and the best advise I can return is whe you see the X on back of the gray C2 that will be me,so just throw a wave as you are flying by. I will do my absolute best not to be an obstacle!

Don;t worry about it... just drive your race, and I guarantee, the faster cars will get by you quick enough... best thing to do is hold your line and don't try to be "polite"... don't slow down, move over, or give them a "wave-by"...

They will expect you to race your line as hard as you can and they've already calculated the pass... so if you do anything unexpected, it will screw them up.

Just keep an eye in your mirrors, and when you see another car come ibeside you to pass you, just give them a car width of racing room... they're big boys... they'll take care of themselves.

Will do... I am just looking to have some fun, and learn. If anyone has some insight they would like to share, BY ALL MEANS, send me a PM or an email.
Looking forward to this.

Sleder, the great thing about racing is that they grid you after the first practice according to your best laptimes. This will virtually assure that you have someone to run with during the practice, qualifying and race. You may be fighting for 15th place, but you'll be having a blast doing it. To me, the worst is when you are too far behind to catch the next car and the car behind you is too far to put up a fight. Nothing worst than running by yourself for lap after lap.

Yeah, our goals are modest. To finish on the first page of the results sheet and not get lapped by Roy Chong more than twice
