Default Removing overspray from Lexan

Is there a good way to remove primer overspray from a lexan windscreen ? It's a fine dusting from nearby painting - not solid patches of paint. It looks like the windscreen is permantently dusty. Is there a polish or something we coudl use ?

There is a polish you can get at motorcycle stores (used on visors and windscreens), it comes in three stages in small plastic bottles. To remove your fine dusting, I would think the finest polishing stage would probably be enough. Your windscreen will come out looking better than before, once the primer comes off.

Have you tried claying the windscreen?
I know clay works very well removing overspray on painted bodywork.

Thanks for the tips. Windscreen is coming off soon for extra bars to go in, so that will be a good time to try things.

I already have Scratch-X and the Meguiars polish and cleaner - would those work, or are they too agressive ?

What type of primer are you dealing with? If its from a spray-can you could probably wipe it off with mineral spirits. What ever you do don't use acetone it will melt the lexan.

Yeah, it's rattle-can primer.

I'll give the mineral spirits a try somewhere inconspicuous - that sounds like the easiest option.
