Default Tire suggestions F class/NASA GTS

Any suggestions for 951 running 245/45/16's, Toyos, kuhmos, hoosiers. I am looking for a predictible, long-lasting club tire. I am undecided and have little experience on tire options for race use...

Toyo's

Have them shaved to about 4/32 and they will last you 5-6 race weekends if you run enough (3 degrees or more) camber in the front and have them flipped on the rims every two weekends. You should be able to do a full season on 6 tires.

Toyo's, best bang for the buck.

Start with Toyo's (get them shaved to the 2nd level of tread block) as a good, long lasting tire and for getting your feet wet.

When you decide you want to run up front and lower your lap times by a couple seconds, get the Hoosiers.

Hoosiers will last quite a long time.... front-runners with unlimited budgets may limit them to a couple heat cycles, but I have been using 3-year old SO3's as practice tires and have probably 20+ heat cycles on them and they are (quite to my frustration) virtually as quick as my SO4 "Race" Tires

Over the life, they ae probably not that expensive compared with Toyos....

NASA GTS, Midwest? I think street tires will work just fine for you

NASA perhaps.... hasn't been completely over-run with "win at any cost" types.... YET.

But in PCA F Stock, if you do not run Hoosiers, you might as well not waste the entry fee...

I was kidding about the street tires (I race NASA GTS2 and PCA F) If you want a chance in any race, hoosiers are the only way to go. With more PCA racers trying NASA, I think Hoosiers will become the tire of choice. I would love to see a spec tire like toyo to keep the cost down, but I think I am dreaming...
