Here's a pic from 2 weeks ago when we finished decaling the car.
Good to see you Matt! I didn't recognize you with the GT3! I'm use to seeing you wth the Black 930!

? The roadways are paved. They must have been real dirty.
Drainage plays a part too. Gravel has some absorbtion value so you have to size the drainage systems larger for the same area if 100% asphalt. At least with the big stuff you could sweep a clean spot to stop the car on and pick the bolders off the tires. As time and freeze thaw cycles have added up the crusher run they repaved with has sifted itself down to fines that get everywhere.

OK, now we've completely hijacked Matt's thread. He was P1 in Sunday's race, although he was worried about a possible 'pass under yellow' incident that may have had an impact on the official results.
Unless someone stayed late enough to pick up a results sheet, we'll have to wait until the official results are posted on the NASA site.

Instant snap spin, diagonally across the inside line of runners and onto the berm. Almost spun all the way into the pit in!

Nice to meet Tony...don't think I met anyone else, but I was sorta busy chasing down a fuel pickup problem all weekend. I probably waived at a few of you...some the whole hand...some just one finger. Was driving the white Spec Miata with the old style Maine license plate on the back.
Der Professor loved the conditions on Saturday...I'd pay extra for it to be like that every weekend.

Professor,
I was in the #111 blue 944. I'm a native Vermonter - Came up behind you at one point in T4 or T5 and saw the license plate and laughed my *** off. Haven't seen on of those plates in years.

I just noticed something. I was seventh. I WAS SEVEENNTTHHH
Note to self: must stop being too polite to the drivers in the faster classes. I pulled the race equivalent of lifting for GT3s like I used to do in DEs (pretty funny, huh, a driver of a n/a 944 thinking that a GT3 needs a lift ) I need my help much more than they do.

Congrads Brian... Haven't looked at this board in a while. I was looking at that hinge on my car few weeks ago wondering when that thing would break. A home depot $2 hinge is looking pretty good now...
That is great that was great that was 30+ cars in GTS event. ...how many did typically have last year?

Anybody else notice 'missing laps' on their AMB 'time card' ('time card' is an individual car's 'loop passing' data) ?
During the enduro, we showed two laps that were equal to 2x our lap times at that point, and occured when we definitely did not do pit stops. Cost us two laps and 'in-class' positions on the final results. I'm guessing that the AMB decoder just didn't pick up our TX. Would have moved us up ~5 spots in the results.
Never had any 'missed' transponder hits before. Wonder if my TX is getting old and tired, or if the loop at VIR is a little squiggy. The loops at WGI would pick up my TX when it was sitting on top of the doghouse of my old diesel van, directly above 7.3 litres of cast iron.
