Default racing seat for tall driver?

I want to buy a racing seat(s) for DE but I want to make sure I get a seat that fits me correctly.

I 6'3" with a much longer torso and shorter legs than most people my height. If I am seated on the floor with my back to the wall the distance from the floor to the point on my shoulders where a harness would pass is 27".

Suggestions for seats would be appreciated.

I should have mentioned that I weigh about 225 lbs and the narrower seats don't fit.

Chip;

Let me measure my Kirkey Road Race Deluxe. at 6'5" it fits perfectly. They do have fairly high belt holes. I'll also measure the Ultrashield seats in my "fleet." The Super Seats are custom, but the Lightweight Road Race models are standard config.

Yes... I employ nothing but alloy seats.

Kirkey Deluxe Roadrace 17" fits fine at 6'5" 210#.
The Ultrashield Roadrace I sat in at a track vendor trailer felt even better - more constraining support around the ribs and shoulders. Have not raced in one, but it would be my first choice to try out next time I need a seat.

At a hair (less hair every day!) under 6'5" and 290 lbs, I use a Kirkey Deluxe Roadrace 18". I have a Kirkey 17" Intermediate Roadrace on the passenger side. The Deluxe Roadrace seat is 1" longer in the seat, giving more thigh support, and of heavier construction.

I have my seat side mounts bolted to the floor, no sliders, so my head doesn't brush the headliner with a helmet on.

I have Sparco Evo L, no sliders, bolted to the floor. I'm 6'4", 220#. I can fit with my helmet on with 1/2" to spare. The seat is just wide enough. Car is '89 964 w sunroof.

I've got a Sparco Evo2 that fit fine until I started using a HANS. The HANS adds about 2" to your shoulder height. I'm 6'5", 220#

If a HANS is in your future, make sure you have enough clearance in the shoulder cutouts.

How about if you're tall (6' 3") but 185 lbs? Any recommendations? Car is a 92 C2 and I have to slouch right now in my stock seat to fit with the helmet on.
thanks

Try removing the bottom seat cushion from your current seat. On my Sparco Circuit Pro, I gained about 4" of headroom! Still plenty comfortable for 45 minute sessions. I may get some HD foam for enduros, but it really is pretty comfortable.

MOMO's have minimal seat padding so you might want to try one of those.

I've decided to sell my Recaro SPG Pro XL if any of you 'bigger' folk are interested...I don't fit it after all.

Check the classifieds for specifics.

+1 for the Kirkey Road Race Deluxe. At 6'7" and 265lbs, the 17 in. seat fits me perfect. Again, no sliders and back and down almost as far as possible. My helmet does not touch the headliner.

You probably want something like a Sparco Evo or Pro2000. If you don't intend you use sliders, you shoud gain several inches of headroom. I run Evo 2's (now called L's) and they are bit too wide for my frame (6'2" 175lbs). The Evo is a touch narrower and the Pro2000 even more so. I fit fine heiightwise with the bottom cushion in place w/ HANS. I don't use sliders, but if I did, I would have to pull the bottom cushion

Jason,
if your seat wasn't the XL version I would be all over it at your price!

Pro 2000 is what I use, and I am 6-4.
