Default Racing Suits

Guys..need some input to racing suits. Just locked in the 3 day Skip school in May.. will prob do 3-4 DE's in my GT3 this summer. Thinking of biting the bullet and getting a suit as I need shoes and gloves anyways. What should I look for? Prices have a huge range (Fire retardantcy). Thanks in advance.

I just pulled the trigger on a Sparco XLite, expensive but REALLY comfortable. The new Sabelts are VERY close to the comfort level for quite a bit less money. I decided I would buy the best fit and most comfort (cool) and it would be worth the money.

Rennlist sponsor OGRacing.com carries the Sparco line. Just remember that Sparco (and OG), due to the delicate inner layer, recommend taking the X-Lite off as soon as you're done driving and not tying the suit around the waist, an admonishment that directed me to the Sparco Top 5. FWIW.

i am generally afraid of cold temp. 70F is cold for me.
so, i will never have the top off tied around my waist.
but with xlight, can i just wear it all day or must i take it off when i am not drivng (of course, i am not going to work on the car with the suit on, but just walking around the paddock)

I had a close look at the new Stand 21 suits on Friday at their stand at the Autosport show in Birmingham, and they have a very lightweight, breathable suit which is quite cool. Extremely high quality. The new material they are using has a very open weave, stretches, and the seams are a special zig-zag stretch pattern.

According to their test data the coolest suit made.
