HANS Installation Question
Can anyone help me with a HANS installation question? I tried calling them but no one is answering.
I marked the locations for the holes on my Simpson helmet, per the instructions. However, there is styrofoam inside the helmet in those locations. The sytrofoam is physically bonded to the inside of the helmet, so I don't have any room to slide the inside nut between the helmet and styrofoam.
Any ideas? Am I supposed to remove some styrofoam or move the location of the helmet anchors?
Thanks in advance

I think you'd be better off temporarily loosening the foam to install the anchors. Try not to crack it yet put it back in it's original location.
I think changing the location of the anchors is the last thing you'd want to do unless the change in location is minimal.
My Bell didn't have styrofoam in this location so I can't provide advice with removing it. Maybe a call into Simpson would be beneficial as well.

Well;
It's some sort of bead foam. It was a tight fit in my Simpson, but I got them in. A little massaging of the foam is not a problem. Call Simpson if you are unsure.
