Default Wet to dry

Is it possible to convert my standard 996 wet sump into a dry sump, any companies offer a solution?

Your 996 is not a wet sump, but an "integrated dry sump". This means that the oil tank & "lines" are cast into the block. The issue is that this integrated oil tank is long and flat, unlike the old style external oil tanks which are thin and vertical. The advantage of the old style is that it is near impossible to get air by the pick up point.

To answer you original question, it would be very difficult to convert to an old style with an external tank. You probably could do it, but the expense would be very high. If your 996 is a 99, there was a motorsports package to upgrade the integrated sump (I believe it effectively made it a bit deeper). The post 99s had this built in. Brey Krause also offers a deeper sump plate in a kit (link).

There is one solution... drop in complete GT3 motor.

I'd bet it would cost less than a custom conversion and when done you would have very clean install.
