18" vs. 19" wheels for 997S on track

A 17" won't fit over my PCCBs. I'm pretty much set on 18s for the reasons outlined above. It also irks me that I can't get anything between 235 and 265 in a 19, i.e. no good option for the front.

So now the consideration is width. I'm leaning toward 8.5" or 9: wheel up front with between 225 and 245 tire, and 11" wheel in the rear with either 295 or 305 tire. Sound okay?

i am informed by some of the driving instructors from the Porsche Driving Experience at Barber....
that they prefer driving the 997's on 18" wheels over 19's. they believe the 18's feel a bit more predictable. do note that they are drivng on OEM stock street tires.
