And have your ears cleaned out before that weekend.

That car sounds incredible!

I told you guys that I was going to CMP for my first DE. Well, it was this weekend and had a awesome time.

The Acura performed flawlessly. The Panther+'s were great I was pleasantly surprised that the brakes did not fade at all. The only problem that I had if you can call it that was that I destroyed my BFG KDWS's.

By my second run my instructor told me that I did not belong in Green and he wanted to cut me loose. There wasn't room in Blue so I stayed where I was.

I had a great time. I have the disease. All I can think about sitting here at my desk is being on the track. If I had tires I would go back next weekend.

Oh and the CGT didn't show up. But it was a great trip regardless.

Great to hear. Now, turn around and say hello to the DE monkey that has taken up residence on your back. He will require regular care and feeding ($$$).

Believe me he already wants wheels and tires and springs.

See, that didn't take long at all...

I am you Monkey! Feed ME! Feed ME!

Another one bites the dust! LOL.

Oh, if you are compelled (as I was) to keep a nice spreadsheet of the costs associated with your little DE habit. Have the good sense to hide it from people like spouses.

Ring, ring.

"Hello?"

"I just found the spreadsheet with all the money you've been spending on that CAR! Do you know how much it IS!?"

I think you get the picture

There won't be much hiding in my house hold.

spouse=accounting

She is much better at bill paying then I am.

I already talked to her about Acura parts and she hasn't shot me down yet.

Repeat after me... "this will make the car SAFER, this will make the car SAFER..."

It works. Welcome to the most addictive habit this side of crack and hookers.

Be safe and have fun.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Just one thing -
What is an Acura, Panther, and a BFG KDKW?

More fun then I have ever had.

I put my stock brakes back on today and my front tires are truly thrashed. There isn't a tread block on either front tire that doesn't have chunks missing. We'll write those off to a damn good time.

I quote my wife who read the last few posts about this addiction, and her responce was......
Yes the line works.
Yes your at home at night getting your car ready!
See guys it really works, how to persue an expensive habit and have full support.
its not a lie,
big brakes make the car safer
sticky tires make the car safer
larger mags for bigger tire making the car even safer
a roll cage, seats, harnesses
more power to pull out of the turns better, it all makes the car safer.
All the track days you can muster make you a safer driver
after 6 years of this adreline sport I must be one of the safest drivers ever seen.
